As for bugs that will eat grasshoppers, those big black and yellow garden spiders eat them. Don't know where you can appropriate these babies though other than hunting through the ditches with a jar. Much as I dislike spiders, I leave these in my garden. Last year, I had one that had one of those great big 2-3 inch grasshoppers in her web...musta been planning a party. Oh! Chickens LOVE grasshoppers. Might think about having a nice little bantam or two around. Fresh eggs to boot! Renae
