Use  Ivory liquid ssoap  or cheap, store brand baby shampoo.

1/2 cup shampoo  1/4  cup  Listerine   (or rubbing alcohol)  put in a
one quart container and fill with water.    The  alcohol or Listerine
works on some insects because it removes the  waxy coating that protects
their "skin"  and allows the soap to do them in.
