This is a report on the two new chile plants I mentioned a few weeks back. Both are doing exceptionally well. The Yatsufusa is barely 20 inches tall and is literally covered with fruit, some already an inch long. I counted 73 fruits and at least that many blossoms. The Surya is a bit smaller, about 14 inches tall and has about 40 fruits (I lost count at one point) and about twice as many blossoms. The bigger fruits are about 1/2 inch in diameter. I was told that they remain fairly narrow. I was also told that I should start picking them for green fruit at 1 1/2 inches. Also, that picking stimulatee plants to produre blooms. -- Andie Paysinger & the PENDRAGON Basenjis,Teafer,Cheesy,Singer & Player asenji@earthlink.net So. Calif.
