yes alcohol is a poison to plants .. but in dilute mixtures it is fine. it is kinda like salt to the human body to much is fatal. I am sure that you eat your share like me =). but coming from a professional painter when alcohol or other solvents hit the air in a fine spray like from a sprayer it evaporates very very quickly. but unlike when the drink was poured into your orchid it was very thick stream and the air only had alittle chance to take in some of the alcohol.
