I checked around on this predatory snail thing and found a
few sites where they can be ordered. Applied Bio Pest is
in California and they ship to other states. The price is
$9.99 + $5.50 (s&h) for 50+ and $17.99 + $5.50 for 100+.

and they call these things Decollate Snails. They have
many other nasty things as well.
I'm new to this list and am enjoying the banter. I'm up
in Portland, OR now, having lived most of my time in
So. California, where I should be for growing some of
these peppers. But the South side of the house was
unused, aside from being the dumping ground for the
neighborhood cat gang, so it would appear. We'll have
to work that one out. So now there's a couple dozen
assorted plants out there, growing cat-encouraged
peppers. Should be tangy.
