Wow! I was off line for about ten weeks and only just finished reading 'the mail'. There were 1,765 messages, most from Chile-heads. Made me hungry. I was just given some fruits grown from seed collected in Borneo by the Rare Fruit Council. They are a bit over 2 inches long and ripen to a dark red with a touch of brown. (Been dubed Borneo Brown by one grower). They were quite hot, described by the grower as the "hottest I've ever had". I hung them on thread to dry (and adorn the dining room) and will grow them out for seed. Chris Rollins at the Fruit and Spice Park in Dade Co. Florida is the one who brought the seed back to the USA. Any one know species name? Any one else on the list with these? I hope to have seed to share around spring. (Growing season here in Florida is Sept. - March, but many peppers are year-round). I saw a post for photos of mature plants and will advise if I manage to post some on the TFNews web page.
