I have two different African chile plants that are not like two peas in a pod. One is over two feet tall, chiles about 4 inches long. The other plant is about 14 inches tall, and has a very thin tapered chile, about 1 and 1/4 inches long, about 3/16 inch wide at the widest portion. Obviously there's some contaminated seed, but I don't know which chile to rogue out. Which do I believe is an African devil chile? I also have a chile called a "Devil chile" and it's a completely different animal from the African chiles. Leaves are much larger. The blossoms on both crook downward just behind the blossom. I think I was told once this was typical of baccatum blossoms. ??? Thanks very much, Margaret Lauterbach mlaute@micron.net
