Hey, My one and only Rocoto plant died to root-knot Nematodes a while back....(not to mention the weather was mid 90's, and 85 or so at night. Miami FL) Before dying I saved a ripened fruit that had actually set in this weather. It was very small, maybe 1.5 inches in diameter. The seeds was a lighter brown rather than black or dark brown, and after a few hours of drying inside of my house they shriveled up into almost nothing and became a very light brown, a non-C. pubescens like looking seeds. Odd right. For everyone's info, no blooming C. cardenasii, or C. eximium was around. So I was thinking the because of the heat perhaps the seeds were inviable. But as I type the seeds have indeed germinated. Has anyone grown C. pubescens in hot weather and had similar looking seeds as the result?
