A while ago, we had a discussion about the fact that English was the only
language we could identify where "hot" meant both thermal and spicy. All
other languages seemed to have separate words for the two concepts. This is
a from a friend of mine:

>In Hebrew it is not the same word

'Ham' = hot = high temp

'Harif' = spice

in Arabic, dual mean

'Hami' = hot [temp] = spice

'Nar' = very very spicy [Nar means fire in Arabic] when used for this
meaning
- the person once eating and burning his mouth and stomach, will say
'Ahhhhhhh' and then 'pheeeeeeeef' and then 'Nar' 3 times at least.
