I like anything that is around a 8.

>2. What is the hottest pepper you routinely eat? What is your favorite
>chile?
      8/serrano

3. How many times a week do you normally eat something you'd consider hot?
sometimes it none at all during the day and sometimes its three times a
day. I'd say about 12 times a week.

>4. How long ago did you first start eating hot stuff? How old were you?
>(Yeah, yeah, I know that I can then calculate how old you are...as if I
>care...)
Since I was old enough to have Maryland steamed crabs with crusty old bay
coating the crabs. Now, that was about 38 years ago. I would say that I
was about 4 years old.

>5. What is the first hot food you remember eating?
Besides Old Bay it would be fresh home made raw salsa while a Junior in
high school.

>6. How long ago, in hours, did you eat something hot?
I am ashamed to say that it was about 30 hours ago
.

>8. Do you grow your own peppers?
Of course.
>9. Do you cook with chiles?
Of course
>10. Do you dry chiles for later consumption?
Of course
>11. Do you make your own powders?
Of course
>12. What is the most unusual thing you've ever done with chiles (that you
>want to talk about)?
I didn't do it and you can't prove it.

>13. Have you "converted" people to the ways of chile? How many?
Yes, about 4 people (Nacho Man being my biggest success)

>14. Do people consider you crazy (for more that just chiles)? Is it a good
>thing or a bad thing?
I am crazy and I like it that way.

>15. How would you describe your cultural heritage? Is it a culture which
>typically eats chiles?
I have an Italian/ French background but am a 3rd generation American
living in Maryland.

I over did it with the habs in a big dish that lasted for 3 meals.
>
>18. Have you ever entered a hot substance eating contest? How did you do?
N/A
>19. Have you ever had an unusual strong reaction to eating peppers? What was
>it? If so, have you had gastrointestinal problems, such as an ulcer?
Sweating, sucking air through my mouth, tears running down my face and
weird primate noise escaping my mouth but, no ulcer and almost never the
old ring o fire.
>
>20. Do you grow your own chiles? Lots or a little?
yes, about 5 plants of 8 varieties each.
>21. Is your profession related to chiles? If yes, what is it?
no
>22. How long have you been on the Chile Heads list?
five to six years. And Scott, I remember reading your e-mail while you
lived in Japan.

>23. Are you a knuckle-dragger? (If you've been on the list a short time, you
may not understand this...)
Of course
>24. How do you spell the name of our favorite fruit?
Chile
>25. Do you use chiles for anything other than eating? What? (rael, control
>yourself...)
Decorations.
>26. Where do you live?
Maryland, USA
>27. Is it hotter in the Summer or the city?
I must be crazy because what does this mean???? Summer is always hotter
than Winter unless you live below the equator and the city is hotter than
in the country due to the ratio of concrete buildings and asphalt roads.
