I have used basically the method described in the messages below for years, although my preference is to dice/chop the pods. Much easier to cut before freezing as they get a bit soggy after thawing. I store in a large Tupperware container after freezing. Ready to go whenever my cooking demands chiles. Direct from freezer to heat (no puns here).
