I haven't seen any mention of the horseradish-laced sharp cheddar cheese that's available at deli counters now. It's not hot by chile-heads standards, but has a nice zing to it that would enhance heck out of ham or corned beef sandwiches. In the U.S. Northwest Fred Meyer stores carry it. I chatted with a customer at the deli counter, while waiting for my 1/2 pound of sliced horseradish cheese, and told her my dog, whom we got from the pound at the age of about one year, was very suspicious of new food and always smelled it and tasted it with his tongue before chomping down. I was sure he'd give this new cheese that treatment. Nope, he glommed onto it, loved it and pestered me for more. Maybe he is a chile-head, and that might explain the lack of chocolate habs in my garden. Margaret
