Would anyone mail a newbie a traditional Habanero/chile sauce receipe? Made some experiments yesterday with what I had available... no habaneros, but the standard "spanish" peppers we can buy here. Since I had no carrots, I sweetened it up with some canned tomatoes, but that makes for a too ketchupy taste. Also, is it normal to heat onions, garlic etc before mixing? I mixed everything raw in a food processor, and the raw onion taste becomes very dominant. Tastes like a salsa, not a sauce (whatever the formal difference is...). My mix (proportions absolutely unknown): Chiles Garlic Onion Tomatoes Salt Chili powder (mild, spice island's) Lime Vinegar Olive oil Sugar Thanks, Kristofer
