Jim,

I obtained such a pepper in the following way.  I grew thai hots and 
habeneros in the same plot, with the plants interspersed.  I harvested 
some seeds from the habeneros, dried and stored them, and grew seedlings 
for planting in the Spring.  Lo and behold, I got what you seem to have.  
Given the history of my seeds, I'd say I got a cross between a thai hot 
and a habenero.  You might question the source of your seeds or 
seedlings.
