Hello chile heads, I have been adding species names to the plant listings on my web page. (www.thechilewoman.com). I could use some help from all you knowledgable gardeners. Some varieties could be classified two different ways, depnding on the original seed source. Some I have grown from USDA seed have not turned out to be what I thought. And, going through my field notes from last season, has left me with some I am not sure about. Keeping field notes on several hundred varieties seems to mean I never quite get them all recorded! So, I'd appreciate any feedback on species names. If you disagree with a species listing I have already included, let me know that too. And, please tell me your original seed source so we can compare notes. The chilehead world is such a small one that I find when I compare seed databases with growers in other countries, we both have the same original source. I'm also thinking about making some kind of listing of alternate chile names, like Chapeu de Frade/Christmas Bell/Peri Peri/Bishop's Crown/Joker's Hat. The hard part is deciding what is the most recognized name. Any suggestions for this? Thanks for any and all help! Susan The Chile Woman
