Bobby Flay -- gag me with a spoon! He is just so too taken with himself.
However, I do see that he has apparently actually learned something
recently. I found this on the site RisaG sent
http://www.cbs.com/network/htdocs/earlyshow/0302flaychile.shtml
(at least I assume this info describing chiles came from Flay):
"Habanero — fresh or dried, the hottest of all chiles, closely related to
the Scotch Bonnet." In another TV session (maybe also with Gumbel now that
I think about it) about a year or so ago he said in answer to someone's
question that Habaneros and Scotch Bonnets were the same thing. Wonder if
he learned from my email explaining his error and now says they are closely
related? Anyway, he does have some good recipes, I just don't like his TV
personality and how he sometimes pretends to know more than he does. Wish
I'd seen him eating the scotch bonnets!

It was amusing seeing Gumbel easily eat scotch bonnets without flinching
while Bobby Flay was defintely in pain!
