[CH] Chile Cuttings

Does anybody have any good advice about taking cutting from chiles plants?  I only seem to manage to germinate 10% of some of the types I try to grow, particularly Rocoto and Chiletepins, and I would like to try and take some cuttings from the plants I have overwintered.  I only have a short growing season in the UK, and I thought if I take cuttings in October the plants would be more advanced than seeds germinated from January thru to March.  Any advice on germinating Rocotos or other known difficult varieties would also be appreciated.
