This was due mostly of course to the reporter having scoped out the Hot Luck before it took place and not during (or after). He relied on anecdotes of past Hot Lucks, it would seem. Yet you would think the inquisitive nature of a reporter would kick in prompting him to ask the proprietor of the Thomas Winery how it all came to be. Even if list members make up only a small number of the 100 plus attendees that are expected, we still deserve a mention. Porter
