A lot depends on your individual tolerance for heat and sensitivity. As has been discussed ad infinitum (or ad nauseum for some ;-) different chiles hit different people different ways. And, Lord knows, we are all different on this list ;-) Tepins are hot but their burn seems to be more forward- some people find this particularly hurtful. Habs however, cook tonsils which some people don't mind. I relate the difference between a friend and me- Thais send him into fits while I don't mind them.
