Hi C-H's, Michele Mastandrea asked: >I live in southern Italy where, even if the temperature wasn't too >high, the sun-rays are very strong. >Last March I sowed some Rocoto seeds and now I have about a dozen of >seedlings. May I expose the plants to full-sun light as I made until >now? Experience has shown that they do much better in partial shade. Can you place them so that they are shaded by a tree for at least the middle of the day? >May I transplant Rocoto seedlings in the garden with the same sun >exposition as the others chile plants and vegetables? See above. Other species of Capsicums are more tolerant of strong sunshine in my experience. >Can tell me anybody how much large is the water requirement for >capsicum pubescens? Simply keep them damp. They work very well in containers or large pots. (15-20l.) standing in trays. Always water from the top. Feed them with very dilute tomato fertilizer every time you water until past midsummer, especially if your soil is poor. Good luck. -- --- Regards, Cameron.
