> Burnt cat hair.....I have always wondered how those CH'ers managed.A, to catch the cat. B, to burn the cat. C, to eat that crap! Well, everybody to their own taste, said, the old lady who kissed the cow! So, to get this on topic.....I believe that there are a few levels here. One, of course, is the level of heat, or the degree of capsicum in a particular food, be it a condiment, or a meal. Two, we have the flavor of that condiment, food, or whatever one is consuming...Ya there Rael? Now we have been consuming HOT, spicy flavourful food(Cdn sp)for longer than a lot of our CH brethern and sistern have been around this planet(at least this time)and we have come to the conclusion, that if it aint tasty, as well as HOT, then it aint what we are looking for. My old friend, Sandy O, of the moderate persuaion, has already touched on this subject, long ago. Personally, I can chomp habs, to create a shock effect with the gals in the Super Duper Pooper Market where we shop, and walk out laughing, while they still have their jaw dropped....my better half, Marie, says, Doug, Stop that! You will give one of them a heart attack! So, in stark reality, this all comes down to What tastes good? What tastes hot and spicy to your standards? And finally, really what you, personally, enjoy. As a lot of you folk have found out, through the recipes that I have posted, our enjoyment lies in Asian hot and spicy, as well as Mexican, and, or, American.Chuck, whose family ran restaurants for years, has a different taste bud level, than, say, someone from the SW states, or Mexico, or New Mexico, but I am cetain that his enjoyment of his chooice of spicy food is no less than mine, or for the matter Luke's in Oz, whose taste buds would put his ancestors rolling in their graves!!! Right Luke? Anyway, this is just my, more than two cents worth! Cheers, Doug in BC
