Nuts! All the fun ones got answered among the four that Byron asked about cow[manure] per the NMSU The last question was what the fertilizer rating in the common 3 number system would be. Total nitrogen would be organic or Kjeldahl plus the inorganic. Since the Kjeldahl is 1.74% and the inorganic is 87 ppm, that is .0087 % or sort of enough to make the first number around 1.75 (1.7487). The P would be the % phosphorus or 0.45% and the K would be the potassium number, 1.51 The standard rating for New Mexico cow[manure] is therefore 1.75 - 0.45 - 1.51. George Nelson (also a Brewing Chemist as was Kjeldahl).
