This weekend Linda and I dug around in the gardens and switched them from spring to summer. Between clumps of withering tulips, we planted peppers which are barely visible now but which will rise as the tulip foliage falls. The local gadren stores don't have much variety this year. One place had hundreds of hungarian wax, and a handful of pimentos, jalapenos, and serranos. Another had hundreds of California wonders, almost as many tabasco, and one - ONE - habanero with one of the four cells empty. At a third place I found a tray of super chiles, which I haven't grown for two or three years. We already had a few varieties through a plant sale at Linda's school, so I filled our available space at the apartment. Oh, and for the heck of it, I got four tomatillos, just to see what those will be like. I need to see how much space my parents and their neighbor have left open for me in their gardens. I might be able to plant a pretty big crop if I'm lucky. YKYACHI you move out of your parents' house, but you still grow chiles there. - A ________________________________________________________________________ Get Your Private, Free E-mail from MSN Hotmail at http://www.hotmail.com
