Having a hotluck in San Diego sounds great. I live in West Hills (LA Area),
so the drive wouldn't be so bad. I just did an InStore tasting at the Hot
Licks in Horton Plaza, Seaport Village and Long Beach not too long ago. The
Festival at Seaport Village in SD is really more of a local event than a
touristy type thing. It's a lot of fun and you get to meet a lot of the
actual creators of great sauces. When we went the first year we got to know
Mike and Diane from Ring of Fire, Dogue from Hot, Hot, Hot, Brother Bru
Bru...even Dave from Dave's Insanity was there the first year.

The funny thing about being in this industry, every one is really nice. I
guess there's a big difference between starting a company from an extreme
passion versus the just wanting to make money. Every one seems to be really
nice and helpful. The other helpful part is that there are so many different
tasting hot sauces out there that not just one is the end all. Though I love
my Burning Desire (and I do), I still use about 30 other hot sauces for
different things. I do favor the Caribbean Style Habanero Sauces over the
Louisiana Style. But that's just me. Our sauces fit more into the a gourmet
market

My website was down for a few hours tonight (something about a big storm in
SC?), but it's running fine now (<A HREF="http://www.d-oni.com">www.d-oni.com<
