Blossom drop can be caused by a lot of things. High temps
like you mentioned (122F... YIPES!) is one of those things.
If there aren't any other signs of disease (curled/discolored
leaves) or insect damage (which can transmit diseases) then
you probably just have a reaction to heat stress.
