From: saundrah@mindspring.com ... It's a hot one here in Alabama, in the upper 90's. It's dry too, we need rain. Saundra, Wish I could export the extra we have had to you! We have lost about 50, plants and hundreds have be stunted or set back (to much water). Been getting .5 to 3.0 inches every other day or so for about 3 weeks. Mostly big thunder storms with high wind, no hail thank goodness. The rain has been nice, but to much is to much. Certainly a different growing challenge compared to the last 3 years of drought. I have dug ditches to remove the standing water. Most damage is to the Jalapenos, lost most of them. Stunted the Habs. Have a dozen sweet bell that liked the extra water, please no hissing or booing. High winds keep blowing over the caged tomatoes too. Enjoy the heat, Steve ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~ Uncle Steve's HOT Stuff Anything & Everything about Chiles http://usHOTstuff.com/ The Chile Seed Ring http://webring.org/cgi-bin/webring?ring=hotseed;list ~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~+~
