Well, after a *year* of waiting, my girl is over from london. Yes, we met on the net, and yes, long-distance things really do work, she's been here a month and it just keeps getting better... Anyway, my point was, she's london-bengali, and a CH's dream! She tasted tabasco for the first time, and said 'mm, tangy... I thought it was supposed to be hot?'... After going through my entire hotsauce collection, the only one she would describe as 'hot' was my bottle of Daves -- I love this woman. Also, I now get to cook with prawns, garlic, cilantro (which I have now become addicted to -- anyone who thinks it tastes like soap, bear with it for six months, your perception really will change) and of course habs in everything :) Oh, and anyone out for a change, try bengali food -- it rocks! I'll certainly never think of cabbage the same way... Dinner tonight was her first-ever roast chicken, stuffed with a rice-basil-cilantro-garlic-onion-hab mix, and a fried rice accompaniment, with the leftover stuffing, more rice, mushrooms, capsicums, and bok choy -- I'd normally never add wet vegies to rice, but it really worked -- I'm experimenting further with this :) anyway, I 'm being poked in the ribs, so I assume it's time for bed ;) seeyas all (this is where I'd disappeared to the last few months -- making this all happen (no, NOT the dinner) was a hell of a lot of work. I hope to be back to the list soon...) jbc
