Just a word of caution on the detergent--I ran out of Insecticidal Soap the other day so used some liquid laundry detergent. Label said it's great for plants, so I used it (2 tbsp/gal). Devastated my tomatoes and chiles. About 50% of the plants lost their leaves, although new ones are forming. Really set them back. Looked like the spray dissolved the waxy coating on the leaf. But concerning that recipe be careful of the soap you use. Store bought Insecticidal Soap is best. With an untested soap try it on a few leaves or branches first.
