The commercial Insecticidal soap I mentioned (Concern) recommends 3.5 oz/gal. Which I used with great success. Just ran out and quite stupidly used a detergent at the same concentration. There was something irritating in the back of my head saying, "Careful, this isn't the same stuff!". Which I successfully ignored! :( > > Soap has got to be the real cheap dishsoap, Like Octagon, Ivory etc, NO > Anti-bacterial, Ultra or concentrated. or Laundry, Some might > even prefer a > baby shampoo or castile soap. The stuff that wrecked my plants is designed for gray water systems and has none of the additives you mention. However, it is a concentrated _detergent_--I think it may have worked at the (lowest) rate you suggest. However, I've been burnt and think I'll stick with the Concern (or equivalent) brand, a pure potassium soap (salts of fatty acids and potash lye, as opposed to lye, or soda lye, which adds more sodium {salt} to the mix).
