Thanks for the Cincinnati Chile recipe. I lived in Cincinnati for several years and have been trying every since to find a recipe that even comes close to what I used to get at a Skyline or Gold Star. Every one has come very short of being authentic but I will certainly give this recipe a try and see how it rates. Speaking of chilies, my wife just got back from a trip to Tucson and brought me back not only two Egee's slushes, still frozen in her flight bag, but nine pint jars of home canned Anahiem type medium heat green chiles from Mexico. I understand her sister goes down and buys 75 lb. bags of fresh chiles, roasts and cans them. She also said that she had some great breakfast burritos and other dishes made with green chile. Having lived in Tucson for 20 years I thought I had tried most of the ways to eat green chiles but she said the preparation of these couple dishes was a little different so I'll get the recipes and post them here. In reference to the discussion on insecticiDial soap, and in deference to Byron, I have had good luck with a potassium soaps and poor results from dishwater detergents. My Luffa gourds and a few other plants had a bad case of aphiditis this year and a couple of applications cured them. Again this has been my experience and the standard disclaimer that your results may vary applies. So I hope everyone gets as much rain, sun and time as they need for their garden.
