Sorry to hear about your misfortune. Don't give up hope! The plants will probably come back stronger than ever. Think of it as a God pruning job. :) My Autumn planted chile seeds are now about 6-8 inches high and can you believe, are flowering and setting fruit now in the middle of winter! (Yes, they're outside. In pots though.) Should be interesting to see what happens when the weather warms up in September!
