Well, there I was, reading and reacting to all the posts (frivolous and otherwise) when I noted that ALL of my responses would be different. I have no red peppers other than my Chimayos (from Chilewoman). The Jalapenos are enormous (Bikers) but darkest green. Never had Dutch love, thought I had, but nothing that hot. Lord Byron will crop, for sure, hoops or not. I'd put a heater in my hoop hut for big snow storms, but Lord Byron can't get electricity in New Graniteshire. My Datils, first in the ground, have sulked enormously, not one blossom. Are you folks sure that they will crop outside St. Augustine? If ICQ's get advertised on here, can webcamnow.com sites be far behind? I have Chimayos as tall and busy as my Poblanos (but marvelously more productive) when last year, they were much shorter and more fragily (fragile-ee?) lacy. Peter Peppers are tall and abundant, but unemployed. County Girls are also tall, thin, and fecund but equally unbusy. My knuckles are continuously scraped and bloody, but my spirit preservers.
