The Chiles are bearing up, however, though darker leafed and less blossomy than last year's bounty (extra lime and all). Overcast again today, no wonder thoughts turn to more nubile knucklers. Soil is green with acid loving algae, grass grows too fast, tomatoes are lush but not very productive. Seems just the right time for feeding lush hay to New Graniteshire's cows and putting them on treadmills to produce electricity. OR, given all the beaneaters and cow flops in your area, switching to methane gas to power the power plants. Speaking of power plants, the Biker Billy's continue to amaze. Though greener than a tree frog, those Jalaps are immense. The Chimayos have produced nearly twenty sizable red, wrinkled fruits with a little less heat than tabasco. Most Chimayos are approx. the size of Poblanos which have been disappointing in number. Guajillos are pod heavy but small and greener than Jalaps. Gareth the ChileKnight
