Take I-78 to the Kutztown/Krumsville exit which is Rte 737.. Turn left at end of ramp onto Rte 737 towards Kutztown. When you come into Kutztown you will encounter a Y-intersection with a "Welcome to Kutztown" sign. Bear right and go one block to the stop sign at Main St. Turn right onto Main St and immediately get into the left turn lane and turn left at the traffic light onto Noble St. Continue on Noble St. for about 1 1/2 miles. Speed limit will change from 35 to 40 to 55 mph and you will pass Renninger's Farmers Market and Antiques on the right (this is a landmark only). Very shortly after the speed changes to 55 mph, the road will curve to the left. Just at the beginning of this curve is a four-way intersection. On the left side is a small oval sign for Meadow View Farm and a larger one advertising an insurance agency. You will be turning left here onto Bastian Road which is not marked. Follow this road to the stop sign. At the stop sign you may turn left into Meadow View Farm where the pepper field is or you may turn right and go 1/4 mile into Bowers where the Food Festival part is held. There will be a horse-drawn wagon transporting people back and forth if you so desire. George Sanders
