SUCCESS AT LAST! My Rocoto Manzano seeds are germinating finally! I have been keeping them moist inside damp paper towels for a week or so now. I'd given up hope, but when I checked them a moment ago, several had sprouted. Moisten a large paper towel with water, and squeeze out the excess. Then fold the paper towel in half and lay it flat. Put some seeds on one end of it, and fold over the other end. Press it together with your fingertips, and pour on a bit more water. Check it several times a day to make sure that it doesn't dry out, and pour on more water as needed. I kept mine in a window at room/air temperature, which has been anywhere from 80-108 degrees here lately. I guess the combination of moistness and warm air did the job. Right now I am soaking some other seeds in a small jar in the open window to see what happens to them. I'll keep you updated on my observations. Thanks for your tips on doing this! Roberto
