Hi Tony & Shona - too bad we couldn't meet up in New Zealand. But it was nice talking to you by email. Tara Deen, it was a delight to meet you. What have you made with the Calvins Powder? And Rockin' Randy's smoked chipotles? Thanks for the day at the Zoo once again. Alan is really excited about getting on the Chile-Head list soon. He and I nearly finished the bag of Thai chiles at a Japanese restaurant the next day. Had an excellent Viet dinner at a friends' family Friday. They made their own hot salsa. Very good and hot. They made a soup of fish with chunks of fresh pineapple, a combination I never thought of. Really good and I am trying to get the recipe from them. Can anyone send me a recipe for this? I came home with four bottles of hot sauce and one bottle of salsa from New Zealand and Australia. One bottle from New Zealand has a Maori, the indiginous people of NZ, mask on the label. It is a Kiwi Berry and Habenero sauce. I did not find the Cairns area sauce called "Firkin' Good Hot Sauce". When I got home my orange habs were ripening. They are so fruity and hot. Still no sign of the rocottos ripening. They've been sitting there green for three months now. G'day and Cheers Karen E. Stober karen1@mail.idt.net kstober@us.ibm.com http://idt.net/~karen1/
