"Gardening for the Future Festival"
The 5th Annual Mid-Atlantic Biodynamic Food and Farming Conference
September 29 - October 1, Claymont Farm, Charles Town, WV

SEPTEMBER 6, 2000, Charles Town, WV - Announcing the fifth occurence
of the most Alternative Alternative Ag Conference in America - - the
Mid-Atlantic Biodynamic Food and Farming Conference. Started in 1996
as a forum to demonstrate the relationship between soil quality and
human potential, over the years the conference has become a
combination of "Secrets of the Soils" and "Growing for Market" with
it's focus on horticultural techniques and fringe technologies that
work with nature towards higher productivity that does not sacrifice
food quality. The conference is well spiced with healthy helpings of
Chef's Collaborative 2000's whole food gourmet talents. The
conference takes place in a converted horse barn at the legendary
retreat center, Claymont Court; many of the workshops and lectures
occur in the organically certified fields and gardens; the atmosphere
is extremely relaxed.

If you are a conventional organic grower, or a home gardener, and
have been looking to learn more on how to take your garden or your
family's health to the next octave, you'll find this conference an
excellent place to rub shoulders with teachers and practitioners of
established agricultural approaches -- such a biodynamics or
radionics - - that are still not being taught in most universities.

The conference's lineup this year is exceptional, beginning with a
special presentation by Native American poet, songwriter and Earth
philosopher JOHN TRUDELL,. Speaking about "the Nature of Power"
focusing on our relationship to politics and the needs of the Earth.

STEVEN MCFADDEN, Author of 'Farms of Tomorrow Revisited', will
keynote on the economic relationships created between farmers,
consumers and Nature, through community supported agriculture with
his paper: "Outside the Box but Inside of the Sacred Hoop"

Several educational tracts will focus on topics important to both

longevity of Americans and what we, as farmers and consumers, can do
to reverse this effect. Sally will be working with a topic she has
not previously presented in public.
