Fellow Ch.D.s: I thought I had the seed-saving quips and tips down pretty cold. But as I core and seed the largest specimens of my Jalapenos, Chimayos, and Peter Peppers (red) it occurs to me that there have been multiple tips on here about cleaning, drying, and keeping seeds cool (frozen?) that I don't remember. If those who would provide reminders would wait a day or so to see if others ask to be reminded as well, then perhaps the advice could be posted to the list. If I'm alone in this request, however, please advise me off-list. (Thinking of advisories from Dave Anderson, Lord Byron, Dan McChileCheeseHead, and others who save them rather than eat them) Gareth the ChileKnight P. S.: the guy across the street got wiped out (garden) by last night's frost and his lawn was white with frost this morning. No frost on my lawn or car windows, chiles still well. Fish emulsion helps extend the season, for sure, BUT gawd bless the vagaries of micro-climates.
