[CH] Slightly OT: Cooking Club

Need some help ... Got something in the mail today asking me to be a member
of the Cooking Club of America. Of course, this privilege will cost me $24 a
year. Paid membership gets me a monthly magazine and the chance (slim, I'm
betting) to test new products. Has anybody ever heard of this organization?
Are they legit or is it scam? If it's on the up and up, then $24 doesn't
sound too bad ... but if it's a rip, then I have better plans for that cash.
