Dale, Got caught in a difference of opinion re: botulism on a NG not long ago so had cause to check out the facts. There has been one death due to botulism in Australia in the last 9 years, and that was infant botulism in Adelaide. To find a case of an adult dying of botulism in Australia, you have to go back 14 years. So maybe your chances are higher (or lower) than you think...!
