Hi, first time post, Actually George, apples, bread, orange juice, lime juice, brown sugar, beer <I've tried many and they all seem to work> all seem to work great in killing the 'heat' from peppers. I've noticed through making chilli at home, that anything sweet or with an acidic taste to it will make the heat level go down. Straight alcohol though does not work as good... As for the idea of pumpkin, I don't know if it'll reduce the heat, but I'm sure it would taste good. If you don't mind sharing the recipe with me I'd like to try it.
