I recently watched the John Waters film, Pecker, and had a few good laughs. I spent a few days in Ballmore a few years ago, enjoying the crabcakes, steamed crabs, crab salad, etc., but never ran into a local specialty featured in the flic, pit beef sandwiches. Pecker's granny ran a pit beef sandwich stand in her front yard and the occasional junkie would cruise up for a fix. Is this an eastern US form of BBQ? -- ´´ Mark McHugh Sapere aude!
