Capsiacin describes 5 capsaicnoids which give chiles their heat:
Capsiacin
Dihydrocapsiacin
Nordihydrocapsiacin
Homocapsiacin
Homodihydrocapsiacin
There is also a synthetic capsiaicinoid called vanillylamide of n-
nonanoic acid.
