A few years ago I sent ojo de pajaro chiles to several people on this list. These chiles look not like a grain of rice but more like a while black pepper. Because cross polination is so prevalent, the chiles don't always breed true. But when they do, I use one of the chiles to season a pot of soup for 20 chile-heads or 200 cowards. My wonderful hot jalapeno is now more than 7' tall and although we've had cold weather and strong winds it continues to bear well. Every four days I pick enough to make a quart of home pickled jalapenos from them. Yum. Elsa
