Usually I put it through my food after it's all cooked, unless I'm making stir-fry. It can be used any way you want. Go-tan is almost authentic Indonesian, but not quite. Still good though, but then again I'm spoiled with Sambal Oelek. I've tried many different kinds and I keep going back to a brand called Soy or Joyfood. It tasted the best to me. Enjoy your sauce!
