> The problem is the extent to which > the uninformed turn this into a red herring. I haven't read the article--accidentally deleted the link, sorry-- but about gene-modified food for human consumption, we're ALL underinformed, no? On both sides? Nobody on either side of this debate honestly knows for certain (as opposed to believing or suspecting or having reason to think) what it will or won't do to us over the long haul. For those on either side of the argument to contend that those on the other side are just ignorant and paranoid, or just reckless and uncaring, stands to cloud the issue beyond any sensible resolution. And that's going to do some harm to somebody somewhere, no matter who's right; possibly lethal harm. So I would like to presume to challenge those on both sides of this who care about it to try to talk about it without caricaturing anybody else's position or overstating h/is own. It could only help. Meanwhile, a blatant topic save: :) Gonna warm up this year's cranberry sauce with orange zest, chiles and maybe a little green onion and ginger. Anybody got other ideas for additions? Keep on rockin', Rain @@@@ \\\\\\ ________________________________________________________________ GET INTERNET ACCESS FROM JUNO! Juno offers FREE or PREMIUM Internet access for less!
