Most pepper seeds are straw colored. The exception is Rocoto seeds which are brown or black. Pink seeds are usualy treated with chlorine or a fungicide (Thiram) or both. Just because they are not pink does not mean they heve not been treated. I have some seed varieties from France which are treated with Maliathon, an insecticide, but are not pink.
