Tara,  

No, those are the Small Round Eggplant (Makhua khun Solanum melogena) which 
are fairly common here in Northern CA.  even my local market carries these.  
Those taste more as an Oriental or Italian round eggplant.

The tiny Pea Eggplant (Makhua puang Solanum ) hangs on clusters, like 
berries, are dark green and look a bit like a large pea and are dark green. 
They have a bitter taste that is wonderful in green curries as well with Nam 
Prik.
