I noticed that The Pepper Garden by DeWitt and Bosland on page 14 quote
someone in Louisiana from 1849 as referring to Tabasco peppers as "Tobasco
red peppers." So, the use of Tobasco is very old.

On the other hand, the peppers are supposed to come from Tabasco, Mexico,
which is an actual place.
