* I'm preparing to start sowing now. > Are you growing in containers or outside? I do both. Containers outside and some plants I put in the ground in the backyard. The Rocotos I put in the ground didn't do so great podwise. They got huge, but no peppers. Unfortunately they died in the frost. I did overwinter a Black Namaqualand, Rocoto and Hawaiian Tabasco. Hope they'll do well. > One of the rocotos I planted last year has 2 chiles on it now. One's just > about ripe. Not much of a harvest. Guess they just couldn't take the heat > of the summer in SoCal. The Rocoto I had in a container produced 5 pods as big as apples. I was satisfied with that amount. But I know they can produce a lot more. I know of one picture of a Rocoto in a wine barrel I think that had over a hundred hanging on it. YUM!! *Whenever we eat there you can hear the elders slurping and burping away. > Every time I try and slurp them they spray all over my glasses! Hmmm, maybe > a mask.
